First, and most important, is to relax and enjoy your stay.  A stroll around the quiet and safe environs of Marina Martinique itself viewing the interesting Caribbean architecture, the greenery and the canals is a healthy pleasure.  The canals are, by the way, safe for swimming and boating.

• the scenic wonderland of the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area is virtually at the doorstep of Jeffreys Bay and is well worth a side trip

• Addo Elephant National Park, now with the Big Five, is only an hour away (entering via Colchester)

• bungy jumping - at Bloukrans bridge, Tsitsikamma, the highest jump in the world

• forest canopy tours - at Tsitsikamma
